CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT RICHARD A. ROBERTS
Chief Master Sergeant Richard Roberts is the 192d Mission Support Group Superintendent, 192d Fighter Wing, Langley AFB, Virginia. He is the principal advisor to the commander on matters of health, welfare and morale, professional development and the effective utilization of the more than 437 enlisted personnel assigned to the group. He is also the liaison to group staff and squadron superintendents overseeing mission support efforts for the 192nd Fighter Wing.
Chief Roberts entered the Air Force in 1989 and served as an Administrative Specialist and an Education and Training Manager at various stateside and overseas assignments He transferred to the ANG in 1996. His extensive knowledge of the Air Force Training Program led to his selection in Apr 2007 to serve as the unit training manager for a newly formed 192d Intelligence Squadron. Chief Roberts guided 68% of the assigned personnel, consisting of 14 different Air Force Specialty Codes, through the retraining process enabling the detachment to transition to declare fully operational capable status months ahead of schedule. On 30 Oct 2011 Chief Roberts began serving in Training and Development Division, National Guard Bureau, Joint Base Andrews,
MD. He was responsible for Developmental Education Programs for the Air National Guard. On 1 April 2016 Chief Roberts began serving in his current position at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
