Chief Master Sergeant JAMES H. LANDERS JR

Chief Master Sergeant James H. Landers Jr. is the Personnel Superintendent for the 192d Force Support Flight, 192d Fighter Wing, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. As the key senior enlisted advisor, he supports 800+ military and 200+ civilian personnel to serve as a first level supervisor over the Force Support Flight, with responsibility to plan, direct, organize, and oversee the activities of military human resources programs and Mission Support Group Resource Advisor responsible for estimated $500K budget. He keeps Flight Commander informed on enlisted force morale, welfare, career progression and assignment issues. He oversees all aspects of enlisted performance reports, awards, decorations, professional military education and promotions. He also oversees the Wings 3S0X1, Personnel as the Career Field Manager. He advises the Commander on problems affecting the enlisted force; recommends and implements courses of action. He provides technical interpretations and develops viable solutions for personnel issues and problems.

CMSgt Landers was born in Charleston West Virginia, grew up in Cross Lanes, West Virginia and entered the Air Force in January 1986. His background includes numerous leadership roles throughout the Mission Support Group, but primarily in the Force Support Flight as Personnel Superintendent. He has been stationed at locations in West Virginia and Virginia.
