CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT BRIAN D. ORZOLEK

Chief Master Sergeant Brian D. Orzolek is the senior enlisted advisor for the 192d Maintenance Operations Flight, Virginia Air National Guard at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He advises the flight commander on matters influencing the health, welfare, morale and effective utilization of the flights enlisted members.

Chief Orzolek grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He entered the Air Force in November 1982. Upon graduating from technical school as an aircraft armament systems specialist at Lowry AFB, CO., he was assigned to the 3207 Munitions Maintenance Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL., where he worked on A-10, F-4C/D/E, F-15A/B, F-16A/B, and FB-111 aircraft.

After his tour in the Reg AF, Chief Orzolek joined the Air Force Reserves 92d Aerial Port Squadron located in Wyoming, PA,, where he cross-trained to become an air transportation specialist and worked with the C-5, C-130, C-141, KC-10, and KC-135 aircraft. He was activated in October 1990 for Operation Desert Shield/Storm and served at Dover AFB, DE. In 1993, he transferred to the 71st Aerial Port Squadron located at Langley AFB, VA.. He remained there until he joined the 192d Fighter Wing of the Virginia Air National Guard in 1996. He returned to his original AFSC of aircraft armament systems specialist and worked on the F-16C/D aircraft. 1991. He cross trained again in 2003 to the aircraft maintenance specialist career field. After training, he was assigned to the Maintenance Operations Center. In 2007 he once again returned to the aircraft armament systems specialist career field and became superintendent of the weapons flight. In 2008, he became the first full-time 192d production superintendent. In 2012, he was promoted to his present position of senior enlisted advisor for the 192d Maintenance Operations Flight. During his tenure Air Force, Chief Orzolek has volunteered for many stateside and overseas deployments, such as, Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation PROVIDE COMFORT, Operation NOBLE EAGLE and many Red Flags, Green Flags, Combat Hammers and Combat Archers.
