CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT KIMBERLY R. PARKS Chief Master Sergeant Kimberly Parks is the Operations Group Chief, 192d Fighter Wing, Virginia Air National Guard, which is the first ANG unit to fly the F-22A. She is the enlisted advisor for the Airmen in the 192d Intelligence Squadron, 192d Operations Squadron, 200th Weather Flight and the 149th Fighter Squadron. She is an advocate for the growth, development, and success of Airmen in the group. Chief Master Sergeant Parks entered the military as an enlisted member in 1989 as a Fuels Specialist in Sandston, Virginia. She has served the 192d Fighter Wing as a Fuels Journeyman, Fuels Craftsman, Fuels Accountant, Fuels Laboratory Technician, Fuels Quality Control Inspector, Human Resource Advisor and First Sergeant of the Mission Support Group and Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. She graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School Education from Longwood University, graduated with a Master's degree from Virginia Tech University, and attained her Educational Specialist degree from the University of Virginia in Educational Leadership. Prior to her current assignment, Chief Master Sergeant Parks served at the headquarters level as the pioneer First Sergeant for the Air National Guard Readiness Center in Crystal City, Virginia. She was instrumental in developing the office of the First Sergeant in a headquarters environment in which she set the standard for care and general supervision of over 600 members. Chief Master Sergeant Parks served as an extension of the National Guard Bureau; she was responsible for diversity execution, career progression, and success of Wing members. As the Human Resource Advisor, Chief Master Sergeant Parks ensured the 192 FW meets its objective in ensuring that members have relevancy and opportunity to excel in their military career. Chief Master Sergeant Parks is a High School Administrator in the civilian sector in which she provides general supervision for 1400 students while supervising 150 staff members. Previously, she taught middle school Physical Science for 18 years while serving concurrently on leadership teams inside the school structure. She has represented women in leadership at the national level conference of Gamma Kappa and was the keynote speaker for the regional JROTC Commandants conference.
