Chief Master Sergeant Jimmy D. Kidd is the Heavy Repair Superintendent for the 203rd Red Horse Squadron, Virginia Air National Guard, Camp Pendleton Virginia Beach, VA.
Chief Kidd grew up in Saluda, Virginia and graduated from Middlesex High School in 1986. He entered the Air Force in December 1987. Upon graduating from Pavements and Equipment Operators technical training at Sheppard AFB, Texas his assignments were Andersen AFB Guam and Andrews AFB, Maryland. In January 1990, he separated from active duty and joined the 203rd Red Horse Squadron of the Virginia Air National Guard. In 1994 he separated from the Va. ANG and rejoined in April 1998. In 2003 Chief Kidd deployed to Thumrait AB, Oman and again in 2006 to Bagram Afghanistan and Baghdad Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. Chief Kidd redeployed again in 2011 to Southwest Asia supporting OPERATION NOBLE EAGLE.
