Col. Jason R. Price received a promotion to colonel and assumed command of the 192nd Fighter Wing Medical Group during a ceremony held October 14, 2017, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

The presiding officer of the ceremony, Col. Frank J. Lobash, 192nd FW commander, spoke about the importance of the 192nd MDG and Price’s role as a leader after the presentation of the colors and the ceremony's invocation.

“Today is a great day for 192nd Fighter Wing and the Medical Group. The 192nd Medical Group delivers unmatched services to the 1,300 members of the 192nd Fighter Wing... Many of you may not know this, but the people that do this are also your local doctors, your nurses, your EMTs. So, to the people of the Medical Group, you purely define the meaning of the citizen Airmen.”

"Jason, you have a spectacular group standing before you. They are going to look to you for leadership and guidance. They offer you their support, and they trust that you will always do what is right for them, their families, and the mission," said Lobash.

“I challenge you and your Airmen to mentor each other, take responsibility for your Airmen’s professional development and always seek out the opportunities to expand your own personal professional capabilities.”

Price shared his thoughts on the MDG after assuming command. “Medical Group, you are the finest medical warriors in the world, hands down. I am beyond honored to serve beside you. This is going to be an incredible ride,” he said.

Price joined the Air Force in 1994 and served five years on active duty as a mechanical engineer.  He joined the Virginia Air National in 2000.
