U.S. Air Force Col. Toni M. Lord took command of the 192nd Fighter Wing Mission Support Group from Col. Jeffery L. Ryan during a change of command ceremony that Col. Robert J. Grey, commander of the 192nd Fighter Wing, officiated here, Oct 18.
"[Lord] has done outstanding jobs as the Support Squadron commander and Deputy Mission Support Group commander," said Col. Robert J. Grey, 192nd Fighter Wing commander. "She has my full trust and confidence, and I know she will continue to build on the success of the MSG."
The 192nd MSG is comprised of four Squadrons with more than 400 personnel supporting an array of missions including security, personnel, communications, civil engineering, supply chain management, and logistics readiness.
"Col. Lord has been everything a colonel could want in a deputy," said Col. Ryan. "I know how committed she is to the mission and she cares about each and every member of the group; I can't think of anyone more capable and deserving of this position."
Lord was commissioned in 1998 upon graduation from the Academy of Military Science. She served as the Personnel officer at the Virginia Air National Guard State Headquarters from 1998-2003, Chief of Personnel at the USJFCOM from 2003-2012, the Force Support officer for the 192nd Force Support Flight from 2012-2013, and was the former commander of the 192nd Support Squadron from 2013-2014 before serving as the 192nd MSG Deputy commander.
"I want to thank Col. Ryan for his leadership and leaving behind a great team," said Lord. "They have accomplished countless successes over the past couple of years, and I am truly thankful and honored to have this privilege to command and work with these outstanding professional Airmen."
