“On my dad’s side of the family, we’re kind of all into construction. I had family members who taught me throughout the years when I was growing up. When I was in middle school and high school, I used to skateboard, and a couple family members and I would build skate ramps.
Being a structural craftsman with a civil engineering unit, I trained to receive a forklift license and certifications. We’re actually helping different regions accept deliveries of personal protective equipment.
As different localities come in, and depending on the size of the shipment, we’re loading pallets with a forklift or we’ll help to hand-load vehicles to distribute PPE throughout the region.
I’m thankful that I’m able to get out and help in some way. My fiancé is actually a nurse at one of the local hospitals, so she’s staying busy right now too.
