192nd MDG participate in Vigilant Guard exercise

Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) personnel have their suits removed after passing through chemical decontamination showers at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa., May 14, 2014. The three-day Vigilant Guard exercise is designed to evaluate and enhance the integration of local, state, and federal responders under one command structure. This is the first time the Virginia Air National Guard is participating in this exercise with six other states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The CERFP conducts tasks associated with incident management, search and rescue, mass casualty decontamination, medical triage, and fatality recovery. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
