Virginia National Guard Air Component Commander Brig. Gen. Toni M. Lord, Virginia Air National Guard State Command Chief Master Sgt. Kelly B. Reich, 192nd Wing Commander Col. Mark D. Piper, and 192nd Wing Command Chief Master Sgt. Christopher L. Amburn recognize Master Sgt. Kyle Kirkland and Senior Airman Ethan Martin, both from the 192nd Maintenance Squadron, as national-level winners of the Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez Award on Feb. 8, 2020, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The VaANG honored its top performers during an annual awards ceremony. According to Piper, this award is one of the most prestigious awards in the U.S. Air Force because it is awarded to the best professional maintainers at the national level.
